The trouble with racial double standards
If you are troubled by racism, and if you are feeling fired up about the Don Sterling episode, do an Internet search on “black on white violence.”
The search result you will be treated to is a seemingly endless parade of cell phone videos of white people, many of them children, being beaten into unconsciousness or violently harassed with flagrantly racist language.
You will see lots of sickening violence associated with this racism.
What you will not see is anyone really standing up and calling it out.
Jay Z wears a huge anti-white medallion around his neck. Spike Lee is a Bigot par Excellence. Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright, and Jesse Jackson have perverted what it means to be a “man of God.” But there are no consequences for these men. Nothing. Zero.
The problem with double standards is that they have a way of quietly really pissing off a large majority of people, who quietly simmer until they have had enough. That is now happening in America. Many of the great civil rights triumphs of the 1940s – 1970s are being overshadowed by a slowly awakening American awareness that things did not work out the way most people envisioned.
In fact, despite the great civil rights triumphs, including the election of a black US president, perfectly good people are being called racist, old fools like Don Sterling are being used to falsely impugn entire groups of Americans, and black-on-white violence is being deliberately swept under the rug in order to protect a false narrative about America’s supposed faults.
Meanwhile, the really blatant racists like Spike Lee, Jay Z, Jackson, Sharpton, and Wright are feted, elevated, and paraded before an audience that increasingly sees them wearing no clothes.
Islam, you’ve got a problem
Watching videos from the Syrian civil war (Youtube has all you’ll ever need or want to see), it’s hard to conclude that either side is pure. Videos showing the most graphic torture of captured rebel fighters, summary executions of small children, and kangaroo courts pronouncing and then implementing the death penalty upon captured soldiers all point to a main problem: Islam.
Not one Islamic country is or has ever been peaceful. All have been violently expansionist and imperialistic. None have been kind to minorities.
Syria is a good example of what France, England, Holland, and many Scandinavian countries can expect once Moslem populations reach large enough sizes.
I’m saddened and work hard not to puke on my feet over what’s happening in Syria. Sadly, there’s not a whole lot of pure men over there. Bashar Assad’s cruelty led to the uprising, and his willingness to destroy his own country rather than leave it is, well, it’s destroying his country in a way no other kind of conflict can achieve. But his opponents know not much more about treating fellow people kindly.
Let’s pledge to make sure this dynamic doesn’t come to America.
Iron lady in a soft tin world
Former English prime minister Margaret Thatcher died yesterday.
Her nickname was the Iron Lady, so dubbed by the Soviets (The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), who failed to understand either the English language or The English People well enough to recognize that such an insult would actually resonate with the dispirited people of that dreary isle, locked as it was in government-heavy economic malaise. The name stuck, and why wouldn’t it? USSR leader Stalin re-named himself after steel (Stalin means steel in Russian), for a reason.
Thatcher is credited with saving the British from socialism and restoring some of their former greatness. And to prove that the British are their own worst enemies, the over-generous people of that green island began to allow endless streams of avowed enemies into their nation. Those same people went on a rampage yesterday that left many policemen hurt and whole streets of shops in various cities in shambles, destroyed by mobs of “angry” people who believe they are due something more than opportunity for self-realization.
And now it is worth asking, is there anyone left in Western Civilization strong enough to rise to the stature and strength of character of the Iron Lady? Or is our soft-tin Western Civilization destined for continued decline, as our enemies sharpen their knives and quietly slip behind our borders under the bizarre guise of “fairness”?
