Democrat Party shut down the US govt, aiming for America
American federal government has been shut down for weeks now, as a result of all Democrat Party US senators being unwilling to vote for the same continuing resolution bill they voted for four or five times already in the past several years. Because this funding bill requires a super-majority, not a simple majority, even the minority party (Democrat) can stop it.
Much has been said elsewhere about why the Democrat Party would not vote to keep their own precious government open and their own precious federal workers (Democrat) on the job and paid. Yes, it is true that they (Democrats) are demanding (forgotten) taxpayer subsidies for illegal alien healthcare that (forgotten) taxpaying Americans themselves do not qualify for, let that sink in.
And yes, these same recalcitrant senators have already voted a bunch of times for the same “clean” bill before, without the illegal alien healthcare subsidies they want put in it now.
But what seems to be missing in the public debate about why the Democrat Party has shut down the American federal government is the real why. The core purpose. Which seems to be their goal of shutting down America, all of it, all of us, forever.
After all, this is the same group of people (elected Democrats) who allowed an incredible illegal invasion of America to happen from 2021 to 2024. The roughly 15 Million illegal aliens who illegally crossed our borders imposed budget-breaking costs on hospitals, public schools, and public infrastructure, and sky-high crime rates that overwhelmed police departments and court systems.
You don’t allow America to be overwhelmed and severely damaged, if you love America.
This is the same group of people (elected Democrats) who have time after time, even this weekend, sided with violent illegal alien criminals over American citizens, sided with South American drug dealers and child sex slave traffickers over American citizens, sided with violent repeat American criminals over law abiding American citizens, etc.
The Democrat Party is openly not on the side of America being successful or peaceful or happy. Rather, they (Democrats) are public about their disdain for pretty much everything that makes America successful. Except your tax money, of which they want a lot more.
So this government funding dispute seems to be really about just shutting down America, totally, trying to create all of the chaos and unhappiness possible, and probably also about trying to stop the Trump Administration from operating.
For the umpteenth time over the past ten years at least, it sure appears that the Democrat Party wants to once again burn America to the ground.
So I have a question for registered Democrats: Can you explain this situation? Can you defend it? Can you help us bystanders understand it?
Can you tell us what the Democrat Party stands for that American citizens might support? Can you explain why you continue to vote for Democrat candidates?
I ask as a former Democrat myself. Because I did not leave the Democrat Party, they left me; just like they are leaving America behind right now. And I am confused about how anyone who loves America continues to support this bizarre and destructive organization.
GOP Resolution in support of J6 political prisoners
I drafted the resolution below last summer, and submitted it twice. I suggest that every county Republican Committee pass a similar resolution standing in solidarity with the January 6th political prisoners illegally held in Washington, DC, and elsewhere. An article published today about badly tortured political prisoner Ryan Samsel demonstrates how dire the situation is.
If politically active Republicans cannot publicly stand up for and in solidarity with fellow Republican political prisoners who are being held without trial for over two years, then what does being a Republican mean?

Whereas, the US Department of Justice has become an unabashedly politically partisan weapon in the hands of the Biden Administration, and
Whereas, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has become an unabashedly politically partisan weapon in the hands of the Biden Administration, and
Whereas, many DOJ and FBI public employees are using their government positions to further their own personal political views by illegally targeting and officially oppressing their political opponents, and
Whereas, a great deal of illegal politically-motivated injustice against innocent American citizens has resulted and continues to result from the aggressive politicization of the DOJ and FBI, such as Ryan Samsel, and
Whereas, on August 8, 2022, the lawless DOJ and the rogue FBI have illegally attacked and invaded the home and person of President Donald J. Trump in Florida, and
Whereas, the Dauphin County Republican Committee stands for the rule of law, the equal application of the law, and the upholding of the US Constitution, therefore
Be it resolved that the Dauphin County Republican Committee hereby formally stands with and calls for the immediate release of the innocent-until-proven-guilty American citizen January 6th political prisoners now being held in jail, some without formal charges, some with only misdemeanor charges, some with improbable and non-violent felony charges, all without bail, all without trial, all without a speedy trial, all without a speedy trial in front of a jury of their peers, and often in inhumane conditions that violate the US Constitution and basic international human rights, and
Be it resolved that the Dauphin County Republican Committee calls on the Governor of Florida to use the Florida State Police to block lawless federal agents from operating there.

My 2019 resolution: Not going pee with the ladies
Last night we were celebrating the incoming New Year with friends at a hotel in New York City. Lot of fun, beautiful time of year and place, great, friendly people and beloved old friends.
…and then I had to pee…
Discharging excess fluid is how a healthy mammal’s body works any day, and especially after copious intake. So, I feel the urge, stand up from the table, ask a friendly staff person about the location of the toilet, and receive clear directions. So far so good.
One of Western Civilization’s chief accomplishments is ubiquitous flush toilets. They even come with sinks and hand towels. They are generally clean, tidy, and hygienic, certainly compared to a hole in the floor like you will find the world over. This particular hotel is quite nice, and had all kinds of nice little “extras” about for guests, and it stood to reason that my bathroom experience would be top quality.
Nope.
This is in NYC, a major locus of PC crazy, and it turns out that simply going pee in the homeland of PC crazy results in a crazy pee experience.
I approached the bathroom door and noticed beautiful and often scantily clad women coming and going through that door. Then a well dressed young man entered. The see-through door is labeled “EVERY BODY.”
My inner dinosaur screamed “No f*ing way!” as my feet reflexively stumbled backwards. I may have suffered a brief infarct. Maybe a meteor hit Earth or my head at that moment, too. Reality wheeled around me, and I had an out-of-body feeling.
The kindly young bathroom concierge standing nearby smiled knowingly and said, “there’s a men’s room downstairs, here let me show you,” and he accompanied me downstairs to a glittering bathroom that said “MEN” on the opaque glass and brass door.
This was what I had hoped for: Urinals for guys to stand over, breath mints and mouth wash on the spotless counter, stalls with doors giving enough privacy for guys going #2 or even amorous couples to do their business without interference or observation. A typical nice Men’s room. Natural boundaries. Privacy for men, to be men.
After emptying my body’s excess water tank, I washed up, went back upstairs, and walked past the Chaos & Bizarro anti-civilization bathroom, shown in these photos. Young men and women were still entering and exiting simultaneously, and as a result I made my first and likely only 2019 New Year’s resolution: I will not use a Chaos & Bizarro dual-sex bathroom.
Nope.
I like my high civilization and I intend to keep it. One pee at a time.
