Book review: A Rebel from the Start by Avi Yemini

Like a lot of news hounds disgusted by the brazenly partisan establishment narrative activists at the “mainstream media” outlets like MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, PBS, Reuters, the Associated Press, the New York Times, the Washington Post et al ad nauseum, I have spent years chasing down the few actual news sources that would give me the facts and just the facts. Sites like The Gateway Pundit, Breitbart, Zero Hedge, the Epoch Times, and podcasts by Dinesh D’Souza, Dan Bongino, and Jan Jekeliek now give me a 360 degree news and information coverage that has been sorely lacking for so long.

One of my most recent finds was Rebel News, back in 2020, when the world was melting down about Covid and hardly any news outlets were asking any questions about why the world was melting down about Covid.

I was up in the mountains, usually alone, running the sawmill and physically exposed to no one, with my main link to the outside world the very slow internet connection we had then. Then as now, the establishment media simply carried the establishment narrative and fear-mongering political message for the blatantly corrupted CDC and other federal agencies so visibly taken over by the pharmaceuticals industry. Rebel News was different, and from 2020 into 2021 its founder, Ezra Levant, really stood out by asking basic questions. He asked questions of people in power, he asked questions of people in official positions, he asked questions of police officers gleefully and violently enforcing Covid lockdowns in Canada and Australia, and he asked questions of people in the street. How refreshing! A real newsman!

Rebel News then added a few truly intrepid reporters like David Menzies, Sheila Gunn, and a confusing man named Avi Yemini. I don’t want to make this book review all about Rebel News and Ezra Levant, but the fact is that without Rebel News, the free world (ha) would know a lot, lot less about Covid tyranny than we know now. And what we know now has informed freedom loving citizens across Canada, America, Australia, and Europe to demand an end to health tyranny and a return to responsive, representative government.

While all of the Rebel News reporters have done really amazing work, one of them stood out, this earnest, tattooed, sometimes almost innocently child-like Avi Yemini fellow. He was unafraid and would wade right into the lockdown protests with his Rebel News microphone, and was often dogged by Jew haters and violent government thugs alike.

Sheila Gunn, Ezra Levant, David Menzies and other Rebel News reporters all have done great work, but none of them have the cool Australian accent, the Jewfro, or the odd name that Avi Yemini has. And so I really began to closely follow every video and interview he put out. Because Avi Yemini has a foot in about a half dozen different worlds simultaneously, I was more than intrigued. Who was this guy? Why did he remind me of the ADD prancing black knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Where the hell did he come from? Why was he so laid-back-open-minded on the one hand, and yet asking such pointed questions of people in power on the other hand?

His interviews along with Ezra Levant of Hitler Youth climate grifter Greta Thunberg and ultra shady Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla put Rebel News squarely in the international spotlight. He then had an amazing followup debate with Nas Daily, an Israeli Arab who is so fully integrated into the establishment that he carries all the water left in the Middle East for all the political establishment there.

Just when I thought I could not take the suspense any longer, Avi Yemini wrote a book about himself, which debuted a few months ago. Titled “A Rebel from the Start,” Avi seems to bare all in this book. I mean, I don’t think he leaves much to the imagination. Said another way, he seems to be much more honest about his childhood and his failures than anyone else I know would be. Reading the book helped me understand Avi personally, but not really politically, or ideologically. And I am unsure if that understanding will ever happen for me, anyone else, or even for Avi himself. To wit, he is from an Orthodox Jewish family, married to a woman of unclear religious beliefs but who has two Muslim kids from her first marriage. Add in Avi’s two kids and you get this big, boisterous mini riot blur of activity, full-on life engagement, and earnest questions about everything, and yet rigid ideology about nothing.

Avi Yemini is the anti-ideology news reporter. He has no ideological axe to grind. This is so rare in the news business that it is tough to get my head around.

And I think this last observation is probably the most refreshing aspect of Rebel News’ reporting: They don’t do what the establishment media does, which is daily parrot a set of talking points meant to artificially buoy up the corrupt political establishment. Rather, Rebel News staff are unafraid to ask the glaring, most obvious questions that anyone with a scintilla of care about where Western Civilization is headed (presently down the tubes and gaining speed) would be interested in. Avi Yemini is a colorful, inquisitive, fearless, insightful interlocutor and news reporter, and his book is a fascinating read for those of us who have watched his rise in prominence with awe and wonderment. I highly recommend it.

You can buy Rebel from the Start here.

Actual news reporter Avi Yemini was constantly harassed and arrested by the Australian police (who later lost all their cases against him in court), while the fake news establishment political activist in drag as a “news reporter” is carefully protected by the Australian police. Avi is a freedom hero.

This election in one interview

If you want to know President Donald Trump like you have never seen him before, and if you want to know the news media like you see them every day but you did not realize just how evil and politically partisan they are, and if you want to know why anyone in America thinks anything negative about this incredible president we have, who should be at a 98% approval rating, then watch this interview with CBS political activist Leslie Stahl. Just watch it. Watch the whole thing.

Here is what I see here:

->President Trump is calm, in control, a perfect gentleman, and direct

->President Trump is incredibly smart and in control of the facts about an incredible array of policy issues that I myself could never master. And I have been doing public policy in one form or another my entire career. Trump has been doing it for less than four years…

->President Trump directly answers a nonstop litany of disruptive, petty and rude questions, about half of which have no bearing on anything of substance and meaning, but which are designed to personally harass and harangue the President of the United States.

->President Trump politely ends the interview when he is told Vice President Pence is about to enter the room, although his antagonist, Leslie Stahl, has about a hundred more ridiculous accusations she would like to throw at him.

->This is not a normal interview. Leslie Stahl does not ask “hard questions,” nor does she ever answer the hard questions that Trump poses to her. Rather, she makes mostly aggressive declarative statements, to which Trump must respond defensively, many of which and maybe all of which are factually untrue. Like her assertion that he is responsible for Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer’s own negative public standing (recall that Whitmer, whose cruel face and malevolent eyes make her look just like Cruella DeVille from the Disney classic 1001 Dalmations, has had an authoritarian shut-down of Michigan, except for her own husband, who gets to go sailing while the little people are not allowed to).  She also constantly interrupts Trump. This behavior makes Stahl an unapologetic political activist, not a reporter.

->Leslie Stahl shows zero interest in the Biden corruption scandal that is unfolding by the hour. She shows zero interest in the biggest political scandal in American history, which is the Obama Administration SPYING on a political candidate, his campaign, and then his incoming administration, that being Trump. In case you did not know, it is incredibly, unbelievably, terribly, totally ILLEGAL to spy on Americans like this, and especially on political opponents. In sum, Leslie Stahl, like the rest of the mainstream media, is 100% in the camp of the other political party, and she is doing everything she can to coverup for them, protect them, and to attack their political opponent, President Donald J. Trump. CBS “News” is not a fair-minded arbiter of truth and accuracy, they are dishonest liars.

Let us call this recording an “engagement” between two opposing forces. What we see is one side that is trying to support, defend, and protect America, and the other side, CBS “News” and Leslie Stahl, trying to do everything they can to destroy America. This is not journalism, it is a political attack. And as President Trump points out repeatedly to Leslie Stahl, she would never and has never asked any questions like these of his predecessor, Barack Hussein Obama, nor of Joe Biden. We know this is true because we have never seen a recording of any kind of encounter like this in the history of our nation. No other president has been tested and abused and undermined like President Trump has.

And it is all because Leslie Stahl and her fellow political partisans want the power that Donald Trump has. They could not win it fair and square in 2016 and they are now trying to make sure that he does not win it again fair and square in 2020.

For those people who wonder about people like me, and why we are so devoted to President Trump, this recorded encounter shows you exactly why. Trump is honorable, good, smart, and direct. He is not evasive. The “news media” AKA the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, is not any of these things, but instead the opposite: Bad, dishonest, conniving, and acting in bad faith.

Tonight’s presidential debate between Trump and Biden, and “moderated” by a far-left political activist masquerading as a “news reporter,” is likely to end up being the same thing as this interview here. And it is precisely why so many Americans have artificially negative views of Donald Trump. The press/ news media are trying to destroy Trump so they can take his power and keep it for themselves, and no voter should ever allow that to happen.

If you love America, if you want America to succeed, to have a strong economy, to be safe and stable, then vote for Donald J. Trump on November 3rd. America has not had a president this good in generations.

This is a calm, articulate, intelligent man who loves America and refuses to put up with any BS

This is Leslie Stahl, a fake “reporter” and big hypocrite who harangued and criticized America’s president about wearing a mask, and yet she herself does not wear one. Stahl is a political activist and nothing more

MIchigan governor Gretchen Whitmer has rightfully earned the scorn and fear of people across the world. Her evil eyes …it is why she is called Cruella DeVille

MI guv Gretchen Whitmer — Yikes, scary lady!

Gretchen Whitmer must have sat for this updated version of Disney’s Cruella DeVille from 1001 Dalmations movie

Original Disney cartoon of Cruella DeVille from 1001 Dalmations movie…now why would anyone want to compare Cruella DeVille to Gretchen Whitmer? Not fair to Cruella!

WH press event like watching violent forced false confession

Watching today’s White House press briefing was like watching a bunch of drug cartel thugs standing around torturing a helpless victim, demanding that he both confess, and when he confesses, or worse, says the truth, then accusing him of lying and beating the hell out of him some more. Nothing the victim says can stop the torture, not even a false confession.

Trump told the truth, and it was as if he had said nothing. His press secretary told the truth, and it was as if she had remained silent.

Today, the mainstream media showed themselves yet again to be nothing more than a pack of partisan hyenas, a bunch of political thugs, whose role is to beat on the president nonstop, no matter what he says, no matter what he does.

Even if he says what they say they want him to say, they act as if they can’t hear him, and beat on him some more.

There are scenes in the movie “Traffic” and “Enemy at the Gates” where people are tortured or where they describe the torture they underwent, where no matter what they said, they were tortured even more. And those scenes apply here in describing the role of the American mainstream media’s interactions with President Donald Trump. The so-called “press” staff are sadistic liars.

President Donald Trump has been the most anti-racism, pro-Jewish, pro-Black, pro-Latino president in American history, except maybe for President Abraham Lincoln. The voters know this, which is why Trump’s support among Blacks, Jews, and Latinos is at record highs for a Republican. But the mainstream media want to pretend that this is not so, because they don’t want corrupt Joe Biden to lose, and they want to try to persuade people that it is not so, so they keep on repeatedly accusing Trump of something he never did, never said, while demanding that he say something that he has already said multiple times.

Trump has never praised white supremacists. Trump swiftly and categorically denounced white supremacists and white supremacy back in 2017. But the media pretend he didn’t. Almost like asking someone “Do you still beat your wife, or have you stopped?” There is no answer to that question that is not self-incriminating, and so you obviously respond “I don’t beat my wife and have never beaten my wife,” to which the antagonist repeats the same question over and over.

This is the pathetic state of the “news media” today.

If the mainstream media like CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, etc were at all curious about why so many Americans despise them and do not trust them, they could simply watch their own disgusting performance this morning at the White House. They were disruptive, rude, antagonistic, dismissive, and openly partisan political activists. They were not and are not news reporters. These same so-called reporters have never asked any Democrat candidate for anything, not even dog catcher, any hard questions at all, let alone sustained an attack like this one, for almost five years.

Donald Trump is probably going to win next month’s election, and in some measurable part his win will be due to good Americans watching today’s White House press briefing and being disgusted with the petulant employees of these horrible television media outlets behaving so poorly, so unprofessionally, so openly politically partisan, so aggressively and personally against America’s president.

Everyone values the truth and honesty. Americans love a plain-spoken, honest president like Donald Trump (go ahead and please spell out down below exactly where he lied…list actual lies, not where he talks smack). So when the media pervert the truth and are dishonest, it pisses off normal people, and instead of voting for a candidate, they vote against the sadistic torturers.

You fake media people have earned our disgust.

Fake impeachment makes Americans love President Trump even more

Last week President Donald Trump held a rousing rally in Hershey, PA. Many friends of mine participated, either inside or outside the venue, despite the cold rain. They were demonstrating their devotion to a man who has demonstrated his devotion to them, to us, to America. Call it a quid-pro-quo, without the corrupt Joe (Biden) thrown in to make it something corrupt.

Last night’s shampeachment only cemented the thoughts and feelings of tens of millions of Americans already devoted to Trump or inclined to reward him for working so hard for the benefit of all of US (USA). Not only was the partisan fake impeachment over nothing fake, devoid of due process, devoid of actual charges, devoid of facts, but today, the so-called articles of impeachment are not being delivered to the US Senate, as the US Constitution requires. Instead, it is being held in reserve by the US House leader, Nancy Pelosi, as some sort of symbolic statement. It is not going to go through the process, not if it results in the president being vindicated.

So obviously the sham-impeachment is nothing more than a propaganda tool meant to try to hurt President Trump’s re-election campaign. If this is what Democrat Party voters really want, then shame on them, because this sort of behavior severely damages America and people’s faith in our political institutions.

It does demonstrate how corrupt the Democrat Party has become, because it clearly illustrates that the party will use democratic processes and procedures to advance and achieve non-democratic results that damage the foundation of America’s representative government. That is, democracy is great if the Democrat Party wins, and it is terrible if they lose. The Constitution is great if the Democrat Party wins, and it is to be discarded if they are going to lose.

This kind of opportunism and abuse of the system is as un-American as anything could ever be. America’s government has been run according to rules everyone agreed on for 241 years, and suddenly now that these same rules are in the way of one political party having more power than the voters are willing to give them, the party tosses aside those rules. They are an impediment to getting more power, or blunting someone else from having the power given to them by the voters.

Talk about short-sighted! Remember that whatever goes around comes around. Break the rules today, and you will be on the receiving end of the same process later on yourself. We have already seen this play out in the US Senate, where rules put in place hundreds of years ago to protect the minority party’s voice were thrown out by Democrat senate leaders in their rush to get more and more power over the process. And when the Republicans then took the US Senate, they used the same exact new rules that their predecessors had established. And of course, the Democrat senators howled and whined and complained about how unfair it all was, even though they were perfectly happy with it when they were in control.

Voters know what is good for America, and they know that this kind of instability and over-reach is not good. I can’t see most normal Americans supporting this kind of irresponsible and destructive behavior, regardless of their party affiliation. It doesn’t matter if you personally dislike President Donald Trump (which is usually due to the constant negativity and lies told about him in the mainstream media), the man has done great things for America, for you, for us.

So last night’s fake impeachment is only proven to be even more fake today, and all of this fakery only cements my devotion to President Donald Trump even more.

Tweet by Washington Post “reporter” Rachel Bade bottom left, celebrating the impeachment with other Washington Post and CNN “reporters.” Example of how US media are not impartial fact-finders, professional journalists; they are in fact partisan political activists. And they wonder why bazillions of Americans see them as our enemy…

A Day of Infamy: The Day the American Media Declared War on the American People

Today is a Day of Infamy like the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor was a Day of Infamy, except that this day is marked by a treasonous insider attack by fellow Americans on the entire American people.

Today, the American press openly and joyously colluded and coordinated amongst themselves to attack the American president, for merely being the president they don’t like. This is also an attack on the American people, who overwhelmingly chose this president over another candidate.

After two solid years of openly biased and partisan media attacks on the president, something like a measured 97% negative reporting on President Trump across the print and cable media, today the establishment media dare to present today’s nationwide editorial attack as some sort of unbiased, carefully measured, well-deserved action.

But the media are not balanced, thoughtful, careful analysts, or fair-minded arbiters of fact and truth. Rather, the mainstream media are openly a partisan activist arm of ONE political party. They are completely one-sided. Their attack today is just one more partisan attempt to damage a president they did not cheer for, cover for, and promote in 2016.

As if the American media is above criticism!

The media deserve the criticism they have gotten, because they have earned it over and over. The American media are indeed the enemy of the American people, because that same media is not in the news business, it is in the partisan political activism business. The media has prostituted the glorious First Amendment, and hidden behind it while using it to launch partisan political attacks. This destructive warfare has severely damaged America’s social fabric, because the role of the press is supposed to be honest, holding everyone in government accountable. Not just politicians the establishment media don’t like. Even as Mueller’s fake and falsely justified witch hunt is under way, the news media will not report on that actual facts about the illegally obtained FISA warrant used to begin the investigation in the first place.

The political activists posing as “news reporters” on CNN, NPR, CBS, MSNBC, the NYT, Washington Post, etc. deserve every bit of criticism they have received, from the president on down to local citizens complaining that the Patriot News here in Harrisburg harangues, hectors and lectures people about subjects John Micek and the other editors there have no interest in learning about. These activist “reporters” are just a bunch of politically partisan liberals who think they are in charge of all information the American people receive, and these “reporters” get angry when people call them out on their falsehoods.

Without inflicting damage on the president, the American media has severely damaged American democracy and representative government. American democracy is damaged by the media because they constantly cover up for crooked politicians it favors (Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama), and constantly attack politicians they did not support, including politicians the American people do want.

Today’s nationwide editorial attack on the president only proves that he has been correct all along. It demonstrates that once again the media are not treating him fairly, that they collude, plan and plot among themselves. They are not delivering actual factual news to the American people. Rather, the media delivers one false narrative and fake set of facts after another after another, in an attempt to shape public opinion, not inform it.

The media have traded away their credibility in their drive to attain certain political outcomes, including damaging this president’s public standing so the mid-term elections will be better for the media’s chosen political party.

So today is just one more day of liberal propaganda, the same as yesterday’s propaganda and the week before and the month before that.

Today is a day of shame, a day of infamy, because it is the day the American media made it openly public that they are indeed the enemies of the American people.

Duly noted.

My date with MSNBC

Yesterday I took the Princess of Patience out for her birthday lunch-dinner. She is 49, again, but looks young enough that a waiter asked what my daughter wanted for dinner. No lie. Clean living apparently has its just rewards.

On the other hand, I look like hell.

So while she and I were on our date together, celebrating another notch in her gunstock, in terms I can relate to, our eyes kept getting drawn to the TV playing in the sitting area. For whatever reason, it was stuck on MSNBC, a channel I have obviously heard of, but to which I have had very little exposure. Then again, I watch almost no TV, ever.

So, being of open and easily distracted mind, I ignored my wife on her big day, and instead paid increasing attention to the people on MSNBC. It was in truth a date with the TV channel, as I got sucked in so deeply that I forgot entirely to compliment, thank, and engage with the actual human next to me.

Like I said, she is the Princess of Patience. What she sees in me is a mystery. A normal guy would throw rose petals in front of her every morning. She makes me coffee. I am lucky beyond anything I deserve.

But what of my date with MSNBC?

Well, after a solid hour of really paying attention, let us never again call this a “news channel,” nor its personnel “reporters.”

MSNBC is a wholly dedicated political advocacy program. There is no news being reported. Rather, there is news being edited, commented on, subject to opinions from one perspective, one side, one view. No opposing views or analysis are offered, and the questions designed to sound like alternative perspectives are asked of political advocates with whom the interviewer agrees.

The show was totally dedicated to the Parkland High School shooting and to promoting gun control, gun confiscation, and citizen disarmament. The comments made by the guest people, ranging from high school kids to grey-haired retirees, followed a single line of thought. Most of the comments were just factually wrong, and no one challenged them.

Give credit to the two young high school kids who were interviewed, two young men, they stood in front of the camera and answered questions. But their answers were what you would expect from high school kids: Factually incorrect, emotional, without reason or logic. These kids were being used by MSNBC to promote the channel’s political viewpoints, so no one challenged them on any of their nonsense.

For example, both boys kept stating that AR15s shoot “200 bullets a second.”

That is about 199 bullets more than an AR15 actually shoots in one second.

An AR15 is a semi-automatic firearm, not an automatic firearm. Semi-auto firearms shoot a bullet with each manual pull of the trigger, and most have clips holding 20-30 rounds, not hundreds, as the one boy claimed. And very few automatic firearms of any sort, much less hand-held small arms, shoot at that very high rate of fire.

But MSNBC will not allow actual facts to guide their line of thought.

Consider the fact that the armed deputy assigned to protect the children at Parkland WAS HIDING AS THE SHOOTING OCCURRED.

Yes. When the shooting began the school’s paid deputy sheriff, today a retired deputy sheriff, immediately fled the school and went outside, where he basically curled up in a fetal position.

The man abandoned his post, was derelict in his duty, and let the killer slaughter children and teachers, unopposed.

Consider also that the police had been to the shooter’s home three dozen times for domestic disturbances, and at any time could have intervened between an obviously troubled youth and his gun.

Similarly, the FBI had been repeatedly contacted about the young man’s public threats, and they did nothing. Zero. Nada.

But none of these huge adult failures stop MSNBC from exploiting children, living and dead, from promoting their political agenda of gun confiscation.

And the hour went on like this, a parade of fake data, fake outrage, fake news. At the end of my date with MSNBC I understood why adults I know have a similar disconnect as the adults who failed Parkland’s students. Adults who watch MSNBC and believe they are getting actual news, and actual facts, are failing themselves and those around them. You cannot watch MSNBC seriously, because it is an arm of a radical political movement, at odds with American traditions of news reporting, good government, and legal gun possession.

Watching MSNBC may re-affirm your beliefs, but it will not teach you anything accurate or factual.

MSNBC’s purpose is to persuade watchers of one perspective, not to inform them of facts. MSNBC is fake in every way.

I wondered aloud how much of our other media is like MSNBC, feeding watchers inaccurate information from a political perspective?

That question was answered during the live press briefing at the White House yesterday, which was shown real-time on MSNBC, during our “date.”

During the press event, the national media personnel (they are NOT reporters) were openly hostile toward the president and current administration. They are uniformly and firmly of one political mind, and using their positions as would-be reporters to try and damage an administration they personally oppose. They are advocates, political activists, just pretending to be professional news reporters.

Add this media failure to the long list of other adult failures surrounding the Parkland shooting.

I won’t be going on any more dates with MSNBC again, or with any of her silicon sister media friends, either.

My take on tonight’s Corbett – Wolf Debate, and Tom Brokaw’s Plea for Control of Our Lives

Like a few thousand other attendees at the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce dinner tonight, I sat in the audience and watched Governor Tom Corbett and Democrat nominee Tom Wolf debate each other, with reporter Dennis Owens moderating.  Dennis was outstanding.  I also stayed for the Tom Brokaw speech afterwards.

Here are the highlights as I see them:

1) Corbett beat Wolf hands-down, in substance, poise, accuracy, and humility.  And damned if I am not still surprised.  Given how insipid the Corbett campaign has been to date, I expected the worst performance from him tonight.  That did not materialize.

2) While overall the debate was Dull vs Duller, and neither man was exciting or inspiring, the amazing fact is that Tom Corbett found his voice tonight.  Tom Wolf talked in circles, kept stating that he is a businessman (six, seven times), mis-spoke (“the vast majority of married Pennsylvanians file separate tax reports”), spoke in vague generalities bordering on fluffy clouds and flying unicorns, and addressed none of the substantive issues pegged by moderator Dennis Owens or by Corbett.

3) Wolf seemed to play it safe, venturing nothing new, nothing specific.  He did not even respond the to the Delaware Loophole questions posed to him.  He simply ignored them.  If he persists in this evasiveness, Corbett can catch up and beat him.  Voters can now see it, and it ain’t pretty.  Corbett may be The Most Boring Man in the World, but Wolf looked completely unprepared to be governor.

4) Wolf’s “I’ll-know-it-when-I-see-it” response to policy and finance questions is not acceptable for a candidate to run a state government.

5) Corbett actually ate some humble pie, admitting that he is not a good communicator.  Understatement, yes, but he is not a guy who likes to admit he’s wrong.  So that was big.  Again, expectations for Corbett were super low, and he started out looking and sounding defeated.  But even he recognized that he was beating Wolf, and his performance picked up as the debate went on.

Brokaw:

1) Ancient establishment reporter Tom Brokaw has a great voice, and lots of stage presence.  He’s good looking for a guy that old.  He wrote a book about The Greatest Generation, so he must be a pretty great guy.  That is the marketing, anyhow.  His ideas run the gamut from standard liberal to downright contradictory and mutually-exclusive confused, to pathetic control freak.

2) Although Brokaw started talking about the Tea Party, and he complimented its members for getting involved in the political process (which he said is necessary), he never said or recognized the American Constitution as core to tea party’s goals, values, principles, or guiding role. So although he talked about it, it didn’t seem evident that he understands or has thought about the Tea Party much.

3) Brokaw said “I leave it to you determine if the Tea Party is good for America. I’m just a reporter, I just report the facts. You have to come to your own conclusions.”  As if he was not passing judgment on the Tea Party.  Yet, he asked the question and obviously thinks the Tea Party is bad for America; that is his hint.  Given that Brokaw is a liberal at war with America, this is a big cue to conservative activists: Keep it up, the liberal media establishment is scared of you.

4) He called for “filtration” and a “filter” of the internet, and talked about the “simple people” who manage his Montana ranch and get news from the Internet, which he disavowed and sees as unworthy.  This is the kind of intellectual region where Brokaw makes no sense.  On the one hand, the big establishment media is all over the Internet, so if people get their news from the Internet, and not TV chatterheads or fishwrap newspapers, then there’s no real problem with the Internet as a news source.  What Brokaw seemed to be challenged by is the fact that Breitbart and citizen reporters (think Watchdogwire, or my own blog) are circumventing the establishment media.  He does not understand or care that the ‘simple’ masses are hungry for unfiltered news, for real news, for facts and not liberal agenda.  How his imagined filters jibe, square, or conflict with the First Amendment was not mentioned; I am unsure it even occurred to Brokaw that purposefully filtering information is censorship.  But he is a guy who believes in sixty years of past liberal censorship, so I guess he has to stay consistent today.

5) Brokaw implied that the establishment media are the source of accurate information and “big ideas,” and that alternative news and opinion sources are not.  He said he doesn’t believe what he reads on the internet.  He is clearly bothered there’s now no difference between establishment media and bloggers and citizen reporters in terms of equal accessibility. He’s having a tough time letting go of controlling the message Americans receive, which is really his objection: Liberal media elites are losing the propaganda war because they no longer have a choke hold on the information flow; ergo, the Internet is full of bad information.

An indication of just how undeveloped his thinking is: Richard Nixon, Richard Nixon, Richard Nixon…for Liberals, Nixon was the High Priest of Done Bad in Government.  It does not seem to occur to Brokaw that Nixon’s crimes pale in comparison to the lawless tyranny Obama has inflicted upon American citizens. E.g. NSA spying and IRS crushing of political dissent.

6) On the other hand, he’s into high tech and the future of technology.  Very impressed by Google staff and all of the “big minds” gathered at tech conventions.  Brokaw doesn’t reconcile his adulation with his view of information flow on the net.  I am guessing here that he’d be OK if Google ran all the news on the Internet, because Google is made of liberals who share his political agenda.  “Good” liberals and “bad” conservatives is what he is after.

7) Annoyingly, Brokaw dropped names all over the place, as if to impress us with how important he is: Jon Stewart, the NFL commissioner, et al. “I was emailing with ____ _____, and he says ‘Tom..’.” “My books.” “I’m on the board of…..” This seemed self-conscious and actually undermined his standing, because truly great people never look at themselves this way.  They simply Are Great.

8) Finally, he called for a new form of foreign service corps, some hybrid of the Peace Corps, Americorps, and the military.  It was terribly confused, but it was also the kind of Big Idea he admires others for having, so evidently he must have one, too, even of it makes no practical sense.

Holding news “reporters” accountable

Liberal news propaganda outlet Politico attacked a guy who is a part-time actor and full-time lawyer.  He appeared in a political ad.  That was his sole exposure to politics.  Politico’s Jonathan Martin called him a pornographer, but the movie is an intentionally Z-rated horror film.

Since when do private citizens get treated like politicians?

How do we hold accountable reporters like those as Politico?

It’s doubtful that reporters want to be held to the same standard they apply to their victims.

Today I got into a back-and-forth with yet another liberal reporter.  He wrote a story about carrying concealed guns, and I was quoted.  I objected to his obvious bias.  He would not accept the truth that he is a political activist, and not a news reporter.  Nice enough guy, but like so many in the news business, he’s dedicated to his version of the truth, not to accuracy, not to giving all sides equal opportunity.

At some point, we need to start digging around on the private behavior of activists who represent themselves as objective reporters.  Let’s hold them to the standard they hold everyone else to.  Or they can begin to provide truth in advertising, and be honest about their personal views that shape their writing about other people they usually disagree with.

Like James Foley, I am an Islamophobe

Muslim terrorists beheading people with kitchen knives don’t survive in a vacuum. They don’t spontaneously appear from thin air.

They come from Muslim communities, Middle Eastern and Western. They have tremendous support across great swathes of a 1.2 billion person population. They are, in fact, executing and implementing Islam exactly as the Koran demands.

That’s why there is no Muslim peace movement.  It’s why there is no Muslim demonstration for Israel, Christians, or Yazidis. There are no Muslim-on-Muslim rumbles over jihad.

Instead, there are quiet supporters, indifferent bystanders, and active participants.

Reporter James Foley traveled to Syria to talk about the civilians there. Their challenges. Their aspirations. He was inclined to report on the daily atrocities by Assad’s forces and he was inclined to overlook the revolutionaries’ own barbarity.

Nonetheless, Foley was representative of Western civilization, so the Islamic activists took him prisoner, beat him, mistreated him, and finally cut off his head on video.

I watched his video. Foley was brave, even as his murderer lifted his chin and began sawing away with a knife. He tried to yell as the knife sliced deeply through his neck, it seems as a last act of defiance, because he still did not struggle. The video ends with James’ bloody head placed on his back besides his cuffed hands.

If you’re not phobic about this behavior, then there’s something wrong with you. Being phobic about Islam is a natural reaction among those who love life, justice, fairness, kindness, gentleness, mercy, and brotherhood.

Being called an “Islamophobe” is no bad thing.  It means you’re a sane person of good values. You stand for goodness above evil. Any normal American would be an Islamophobe; there’s zero in common between Islam and America. Nothing. Zilch.

I am an “Islamophobe,” like James Foley, God rest him, a brave American.
