All hail John Fetterman and Chuck Norris

All hail US senator John Fetterman, and actor/ martial artist / patriot spokesman Chuck Norris, late of Planet Earth and now karate chopping endless pine boards in Heaven.

These two guys are (were) mavericks. Both started out as registered Democrats, and ended up as something else. More on this in a minute.

Nothing is more American than being an honest-to-goodness maverick; the one-off, independent spirit who charts his own path through tough times and obstacles. Maverick really is the heart and soul of American Yankee entrepreneurship, guys who think way outside the box. Whatever the box may be at that time in history.

Our own American Indians were impressively maverick, until they met the tough Scots-Irish frontiersmen, who largely founded the America we have known and loved lo, these past 250 years. They were even more maverick. The same Scots-Irish Over-Mountain Men who fought at Kings Mountain and won George Washington’s war of independence, and then got on their horses and rode back into rugged Kan-Tuck-Ee, and whose descendants then fought the British again at the bloodiest Battle of New Orleans in 1815, and whose descendants then became the iconic Rocky Mountains Mountain Men of the 1830s.

Mavericks, indeed. Generations of them. Generations of Us, the Americans, who are the mavericks of the world.

Chuck Norris said he left the Democrat Party because it had gone too far left, had become something unrecognizable, something not-American. Chuck Norris’ acting career was spent playing the same themes of American patriotism, the tough principled individual against mobs of loathesome no-goodnicks, the voice of the rational good guy against greedy bastards, and always, the maverick.

Lone Wolf McQuade, Delta Force, Texas Rangers, his TV shows were a consistently recognizable and reliably entertaining genre that summed up a great deal of American culture goodness, much as The Lone Ranger TV series had done for the previous generation.

Exit Chuck Norris stage right, and enter… stage left…?… a new maverick who almost died, who was only mostly dead, and who came back to the land of the living, and who yet still remains with us reborn, John Fetterman.

I well remember John Fetterman as the angry, defiant, politically anarchic state senator from western PA. That Cro Magnon beetle brow and large, sluggish frame made him easy to deride as a Frankenstein – like moron. But… Au contraire, mon ami!

Turned out, John Fetterman was one of the only people to graduate from Harvard University in recent decades who is not a moron. Fetterman says he is one of the only registered Democrats in his heavily Republican family, and for most of his career that showed. He was obviously trying to prove something to somebody with his ridiculous rhetoric and big doofus behavior as mayor of a East Succotash small town no one in that town had ever heard of, and then again in the Pennsylvania Senate chamber. With the satirical hoodie and no-no cargo shorts to boot. The guy was not a serious person, much less a serious representative of The People. He was all hat and no cattle.

And then, a couple years ago, the newly elected US Senator John Fetterman had a brain aneurysm, almost died, and suddenly returned to the US Senate as a maverick. This was bigger than any theater or movie; it was politically seismic, if also scientifically and cosmically weird.

Fetterman was not just dressed as a maverick, or doing boorish college student takeover-the-podium stuff, but also now thinking like a maverick. Communicating and acting outside the box he had been in, and had almost stayed in. Suddenly, the new John Fetterman was a calm voice of reason on thorny political issues. His staffers quit his office in droves, angry that the defiant far-left hysterics they had signed up for had grown up and put on a nice Oxford shirt under that hoodie.

For the past two years, post-aneurysm US Senator John Fetterman has been a calm voice of reason, not a politically partisan hack who just flows along with the partisan mob. He is a thinker, a divider of policies. I do not always agree with him, but enjoying more than finding some common ground with him, I really appreciate having a senator who carefully weighs stuff out before committing to a policy.

And the farther and harder crazy loon left his Democrat Party goes, the more John Fetterman stands like a rock of reason in a world where leftists have abandoned all reason.

Now, Fetterman is closing in on an upcoming primary race for the senate seat he occupies. This election is sure to bring out the angry far left Democrat voters who chased away Chuck Norris, Ronald Reagan, me, and a horde of other patriotic self-directed Americans from the “Party of Love.” US Senator John Fetterman surely must recognize that his maverick thinking, which bridges both political parties and unites most sane Americans, is a liability on the left, an admirable quality on the right, and puts him squarely in the middle.

One must wonder if US Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is about to declare himself as an Independent, and thereby hold this Senate seat for the rest of his life, or at least until his next and probably fatal aneurysm. All will hail Caeser Fetterman, the newly hatched butterfly, the Master of the Political Realm for pretty much as long as he wants, if he declares himself an Independent.

Americans always like honest mavericks, and I think Fetterman is about to show us another bigger-than-life iconic example of the how and what of that.

This miraculous Thanksgiving, break the binary

Today is Thanksgiving in America, our uniquely American holiday based on the Puritans’ survival experience with Native Indians on the Atlantic coast roughly 400 years ago. While it has sadly become a holiday of cheap mattress sales, the fact is that most Americans still understand what a uniquely bountiful land of opportunity America is, and they give thanks to our Creator for it.

In 2024, we also give thanks today for a truly miraculous peaceful victory over bipartisan forces of darkness and evil in our recent national election. No matter that every official lever of power, corporate finance, media marketing, and cultural curatorship was pushed or pulled against Donald Trump, he nonetheless prevailed with a majority of the national vote as well as the Electoral College (folks, without the Electoral College there would be no UNITED States, because individual states in rural flyover country would have no incentive to unite with the more populous coastal enclaves).

And his opponent burned through more than a BILLION dollars of campaign funds, to no avail. Truly a miraculous election result…

Through our recent election, official power is being removed from the corrupt, violent hands of the impure and given into the hands of our peaceful citizens, the rightful owners of all things government, as was originally intended in 1776. This miraculous result is on a scale of only a few moments in history, where the good guys won against overwhelming odds, and which then resulted in good values being transmitted through the following generations, resulting in the free America we now enjoy and love.

The 479 BCE united Greek final stand against the invading Persians at Plataea is one such moment, and the orthodox Jews’ 175 BCE successful stand against the Seleucid Greeks and their “leftist” assimilated Hellenic Jewish allies is another, a long fought guerilla war commemmorated as Hanuka.

After Plataea, forms of democracy, free thought, and individual representation in government (the “Greek ideal”) became more broadly accepted. When the Maccabees defeated the hedonist Hellenist Jews and pagan Greeks in Israel and Jerusalem, Torah Judaism prevailed and survived, giving the world the widespread monotheism it now relies upon for the rule of law and individual rights we all take for granted.

A good case can be made that this month’s election resulted in a similar scale defeat of evil. Yes, this election was not about the next four years, but rather about the next 250 years of America as a constitutional and free nation. We were that close to losing everything.

However, we cannot get too caught up in the battle lines as they were drawn up on November 5th, 2024. We must break the Republican-Democrat binary that is really a corrupt Uniparty united against We, The People.

Yes, the Republican Party has some elected officials who stand for freedom and liberty, and no, I cannot think of one single elected Democrat who stands for freedom and liberty. But that only means that the majority of elected Republicans and all of the elected Democrats are united against pro-citizen freedom fighter Donald Trump.

Trump is our champion, a representative of and champion for all American citizens. He is the modern incarnation of our first president, George Washington. We must stay focused on him and active in implementing his agenda.

When President Trump is gone, it is hard to know who will again so fully pick up the mantle of We, The People. So it is incumbent upon us today to really give thanks for this reprieve we have all miraculously enjoyed, and to work hard these next two years to ensure that our freedoms and our government of, by, and for The People, are fully conveyed to the next generations of Americans.

Give no power to political parties, give no longevity to career officials, but give aggressive support only to those few who actually represent us. Give thanks that we have this one opportunity for the restoration of good and proper government, right now, for many generations to come.

Being thankful is being American

Watching America’s wild riots since 2020, including recent pro-jihad protests demanding that America embrace evil, anti-Western values, you would be forgiven for thinking Americans had become largely self-entitled and unappreciative for all of the incredible bounties we have. College campuses are now full of upper-income white kids wishing hate on America, and upper-income brown kids wishing hate on white people, and no one showing appreciation for anyone who had prepared the way for all of the beneficence they all take for granted.

Note to uneducated young people: White Europeans created both your unique American freedom of speech and the fancy institutions you are at now, as well as all of the technology you practically live on, and they pay most of the taxes that run the military that protects you from direct foreign take-over so you can drink expensive coffees and pose and preen and virtue signal to your shallow ego’s fullest desire.

Nothing wrong with white people, and nothing is wrong with America. Can you identify a better, freer country with more opportunity for more people than America? I can’t, and you can’t, either. America’s young people must learn to be thankful for what they have and where they live, or they will lose everything they are taking for granted right now.

Being thankful and appreciative for what we each have was baked into the American culture from the beginning. Because the first few generations of Americans had to work hard for food and shelter every day, and the Europe they had fled was closed to upward mobility and meritocracy.

In Europe if you were born poor, you stayed poor. Only in the new America did we have “influencers” who gained popularity and income through their persuasive skills. That is the essence of capitalism, by the way.

Thanksgiving Day has its beginning in the thanks to God and to helpful American Indians given by the Puritans. Having fled violent religious persecution in Europe, the Puritans were starving. Despite being newcomers posing a potential threat, they were saved by their Indian neighbors, who taught them how to farm and hunt. Traditional Thanksgiving food that we eat today includes the foods eaten at the first Thanksgiving feast – wild turkey, squash, beans, and maize.

On October 3, 1789, after the brutal American Revolution and the War for Independence, America’s first president, George Washington, gave this Thanksgiving statement of appreciation below. May each of us Americans, and especially our foolish, spoiled young people who take so much for granted, read it and imbibe it, follow through on it, and express our thanks for everything we have – clothing, food, home, and smart phone, and the opportunity for so much more than anywhere else on planet earth.

By the President of the United States of America—

A Proclamation

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor—and Whereas both Houses of Congress have by their Joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.”

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be—That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks—for his kind care and protection of the People of this country previous to their becoming a Nation—for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his providence, which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war—for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed—for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted, for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions—to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually—to render our national government a blessing to all the People, by constantly being a government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed–to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shown kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord—To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and Us—and generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.
