"Because the Paxtang Volunteer Firefighters are the only volunteer force locally to not yet receive a federal grant to replace their aging fire truck, they are concerned that local citizens won't get the kind of emergency response they need," said Congressional candidate Josh First.

"These brave men are Johnny-On-The-Spot when citizens' lives, homes and businesses are at stake," said First.  "They want to know if federal officials can help them get the Federal Emergency Management Act funding that they need to buy a new, upgraded fire truck.  Their current fire truck is from 1981, and it looks like it has seen its share of action.  All of the surrounding companies have received the federal funds they needed," said First.

"It's time to get Paxtang a new fire truck so everyone around here can sleep better at night, the firemen and the citizens, and if I am elected Congressman, it's exactly what I will do," said First
