League of Women Voters provides valuable service to voters, says First, as final candidates forum ends in Lebanon

Tim Holden was AWOL from the LWV candidates forum held at the Lebanon Municipal Building, but all other candidates participated, to the benefit of the audience and radio listeners.

"'Where is Tim Holden?' has become a constant question in this primary   race," said candidate Josh First.

"Holden has ducked every candidates forum and meeting except just one in his home town. He's hiding from Sheila Dow-Ford and from us four Republicans. How sad.  The public deserves better.  And soon there will be a new congressman in the Pa 17th.

I thank the LWV folks, and radio personality Laura LeBeau in particular for an outstanding evening. The environment was comfortable, the audience friendly and respectful, and the candidates all happy to answer good questions.

Once again I spoke about the importance of farmland protection, a topic that probably got me into this race more than any other," First said.
